Manhattan: Financial District/
Liberty St. and Broadway

The headquarters of the Singer Sewing Machine Company stood here. The 47-story building was the world's tallest for one year until it was surpassed in height by the Metropolitan Life Tower on Madison Square. It was demolished in 1968 and replaced by the US Steel building.
